Pre-pregnancy Counselling course for GPs
This session looks at the importance of pre-conception care and advice. It highlights the importance of maternal health and well-being prior to pregnancy. At the end of the session you should be confident to advise women about health issues relevant to conception and pregnancy.

By the end of this session you will be able to:
- Offer advice to a woman planning to conceive
- Recognise ‘high-risk’ cases and manage appropriately
The session will help you to advise women who are planning to conceive. It will also make you aware of important health issues that need addressing prior to pregnancy.
