Postoperative Management course for Dental Practice
This session covers the postoperative management of the patient from the pharmacological perspective. It looks at postoperative control of pain and swelling and postoperative control of infection that can be managed by the dentist.
Learning Objectives

- List the drugs available to the dentist for postoperative analgesia
- List which drugs can be prescribed by the dentist for their antibacterial properties and what their indications for use are

These are areas of particular relevance because, if they are managed well, the patient is comfortable, happier and the healing process is improved.
