Learning Activity Description

As a health care worker providing care or services to older people living in residential or home care you are required to practice in accordance with the requirements of the Aged Care Quality Standards.

This learning resource will also have relevance in all of other health care settings providing care or services to older people.

• Outline the information from studies that provide information about the concerns and fears of LGBTI people in need of aged care and other health care services
• Understand the specific health needs of people who are transgender and intersex
• State how to best support your L,G,B,T or I client and the choices that they make at the end of life their and after death
• State how to best support your L,G,B,T or I client with dementia
