By the end of this session you will be able to:
- Describe the preparation required to perform an insulin injection
- Identify the sites suitable for injections and understand the need for rotation
- Describe how to perform an injection accurately
- Explain how to dispose of used sharps correctly
This session explains how an insulin injection should be given using a pen device.

- Pathophysiology of Diabetes (172-10)
- Basal Bolus Regimen (172-11)
- Introduction to Carbohydrate Counting (172-12)
- Introduction to Blood Glucose Monitoring (172-13)
