History course
This is the first of two sessions describing a comprehensive approach to the clinical assessment of an infant or child known to have a respiratory problem. It details what to include in a respiratory history.

By the end of this session you will be able to:

- State what to include in a respiratory history
Good history taking is vital, it is estimated that about 70% of paediatric diagnoses are based mainly on history. This session gives a comprehensive overview of things to think about in a respiratory history.
Maggie is an ST8 in paediatrics in the West Midlands Deanery. She is currently working at University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire.
