This is a case-based learning session on managing minor head injuries in general practice.
This session was reviewed by Khyati Bakhai and last updated in October 2020.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this session you will be able to:
- Assess head injuries in the pre-hospital setting
- Recognise red flag symptoms for referral to secondary care
- Manage post-concussion syndrome
The challenge is to identify those who require hospital admission for observation and further management whilst ensuring the safety of those who do not.
