Learning objectives

After completing this course, you will be able to:

  • outline the types of genomic samples and data that may be used for genomic testing;
  • describe how genomic samples and data are used, stored and accessed in the NHS GMS; and
  • address possible questions or concerns about data and sample use in the NHS GMS, and the implications for patients and family members.

The main purpose of this course is to help you understand the processes in place for genomic data and samples that are handled within the NHS GMS.
