Description
This session describes the contents, relations and anatomical divisions of the mediastinum.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this session you will be able to:
- Describe the anatomy of the mediastinum
- Identify the four main sub-divisions of the mediastinum
- Differentiate the structures within each major sub-division
Mediastinum' is from the Latin that means 'in the middle' and could be used to describe structures in the middle of various structures or organs.
