This session describes the anatomy of the oral cavity, pharynx and larynx. The nerve supply to the larynx and the implications of damage to these nerves is also described.

  • Describe the anatomy of the larynx
  • Identify the nerve supply of the larynx and the implications of nerve damage

Prerequisites
Before commencing this session you should:

  • Understand the use of a laryngoscope

One of the primary aims of anaesthetic management is control of the airway.
