This session examines the variability of presentations of lung cancer, as well as those described in the NICE referral guidelines for suspected lung cancer (the '2-week wait' rules).
Learning objectives
By the end of this session you will be able to:
- identify the symptoms that require referral to secondary care
- describe the clinical features of lung cancer, including the classical symptoms and signs, local tumour effects and metastatic tumour effects
- recognise lung cancer presentations related to paraneoplastic syndromes
