This session provides an overview of the symptoms experienced by patients with sarcoidosis and of signs found on examination.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this session you will be able to:
- Recognise the signs and symptoms of sarcoidosis involving the lungs and extrapulmonary organs
Sarcoidosis is a multi-system disorder that can affect almost all organs. The clinical picture depends on the patient’s ethnicity, the duration of the illness, organs involved and the activity of the granulomatous process. It commonly presents with pulmonary, ocular or skin symptoms and signs.
This session gives an overview of the symptoms experienced by patients with sarcoidosis and the clinical signs found.
