Thyrotoxicosis is a common condition leading to significant potential complications. It is frequently difficult to diagnose.
Most notably, thyroid disease has specific effects on the eyes, especially in Graves' disease. In addition, it causes a range of symptoms and an increased risk of reduced bone density and atrial fibrillation.
