Description
This session explains how to describe rashes. It discusses the variety of skin rashes that may present on the acute medical take and serious rashes that could present as part of an overall acute problem.

By the end of this session you will be able to:
- Examine a skin rash and report it accurately
- Describe how to investigate and treat examples of common rashes that may present incidentally in an acute medical unit
- Describe how to investigate and treat examples of serious rashes that could present as part of an overall acute problem
This session sets out how to accurately describe a rash. It then discusses some examples of common rashes that may present incidentally in an acute medical unit (AMU) and some serious rashes that could present as part of an overall acute problem. The majority of these rashes are a cutaneous manifestation of an underlying systemic medical disorder.
