What is Vasovagal Syncope?

Description
This session will help you understand about syncope and the various different types. It will discuss the mechanism of vasovagal syncope to some extent.
By the end of this session you will be able to:
- Describe vasovagal syncope and how it fits in the general classification of syncope
Vasovagal syncope (VVS)
Syncope is caused by episodes of transient global cerebral hypoperfusion leading to a variety of symptoms, usually culminating in a fall.
‘Syncope’ is derived from the Greek words ‘syn’ meaning with and ‘kopto’ meaning to cut or interrupt.
