Do you know someone who might find this program useful?

This online education refresher program is suitable for Registered Nurses, and Enrolled Nurses who are already Medication Endorsed. It is ideal for annual refresher training and for nurses who require their CPD (continuing professional development).

This course is NOT appropriate for Enrolled Nurses who are not Medication Endorsed, nor for Disability Care Workers, PCAs, or Aged Care Attendants. We advise these workers to seek advice from their employers as which competencies are required and where they are to be obtained.

We have developed the Clinical Essentials Program for nurses looking to keep up with their core annual clinical competencies and save 15% on enrolling into the three programs separately. The Clinical Essentials Program includes three complete stand-alone programs rolled into one convenient enrolment. You will study the Basic Life Support Program, Infection Control in a Healthcare Environment Program and Medication Administration 1 – Acute Care Program. You will achieve 2 CPD Hours and a Certificate of Completion for each program.

Programs

Basic Life Support is designed to be used in conjunction with your annual practical Basic Life Support competency and uses the current Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines as a basis for the content. By completing this program, participants will strengthen and refresh current knowledge of resuscitation methods and procedures including; Elements and Processes of Resuscitation, Resuscitation of Infants and Children, Resuscitation of patients with a stoma and the use of a semiautomatic external defibrillator (SAED). This Program should be used as an adjunct to your organisation’s policies and procedures for BLS testing. IT IS NOT DESIGNED TO REPLACE A PRACTICAL ASSESSMENT.

Infection Control in Healthcare Environments provides a strong emphasis on the significance of hand hygiene as one of the most important strategies in preventing the spread of infection in a healthcare facility.

Medication Administration 1 – Acute Care uses an ‘everyday’ clinical scenario which addresses safe and unsafe practice. This program includes a section on drug calculation to review and refresh your skills in drug and IV calculations.

This fun interactive online nurse education program is suitable for medication enrolled nurses and registered nurses who require their CPD (continuing professional development).
