About the speaker

Dr Jamie Ranse FACN - Associate Professor - Griffith University

Associate Professor Dr. Jamie Ranse is recognized internationally for his work on strengthening health systems for disruptive events that are unplanned (disasters, public health emergencies, extreme weather, deliberate acts of harm) or planned (mass gatherings, major events). He has over 135 peer-reviewed publications in disaster and mass gathering health. Dr. Ranse has a background in emergency and remote area nursing and has held various clinical, leadership, and education roles in the context of mass gatherings.
