Description
This session describes the different presentations of patients with ischaemic heart disease.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this session you will be able to:
- Classify anginal according to its temporal pattern and relation to exertion
Angina pectoris is pain caused by myocardial ischaemia, resulting from an imbalance between myocardial oxygen demand and oxygen supply (see tables).
Myocardial ischaemia is usually caused by coronary artery disease, but many other causes of angina are well described.
