Travelling for work can be a hit and miss at times, but this was definitely not one of those occasions for me! I've returned from GPCE Perth, meeting GPs, practice nurses, registrars and practice managers from Perth and around the state of Western Australia and those who travelled interstate.
HealthcareLink is the Silver Sponsor of the GPCE conferences this year, so we took the opportunity to pack our bags and travel across this great big land of ours (by air, of course!) over to Perth, to reconnect with our lovely clients and make some new friends.
It was good to see so many doctors, nurses, practice managers and registrars taking a keen interest in the CPD (continuing professional development) program. The program was designed to cover the breadth and depth of primary care with Active Learning Modules, education sessions and practical workshops. The Education sessions covered 13 therapeutic areas, including business practice management, chronic disease, preventative health and mental health.
On Saturday evening, there was a buzz in air and the atmosphere was relaxed and jovial at the social networking drinks. Bags and notepads were set down and plates of delicious eats and glasses of drinks were taken up. It was a good time to meet and talk to more people, some we hadn't yet had a chance to meet during the day.
All in all, GPCE Perth was a successful event and we were happy to be a part of it. Looking forward to seeing you next at GPCE Brisbane.
