APOLOGY TO JOHN MARGERISON
On 28 September 2023, we published a post on the HealthcareLink News website that contained false and misleading statements about John Margerison. We acknowledge that our publication was inaccurate and unfair, and we regret the harm it has caused.
Our post included serious and baseless allegations, including claims that Mr. Margerison had been charged with fraud, was facing criminal prosecution, and had engaged in improper financial practices through his company, DJ Health. It also wrongly suggested that he had misused National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) funds for personal benefit.
We now recognise that these allegations had no factual basis and should never have been published. Their publication was a significant mistake, and we deeply regret the distress and reputational harm this caused Mr. Margerison.
We offer our full and unreserved apology to Mr. Margerison and confirm that the defamation proceedings he initiated against us have now been resolved.
